What changes the transit time

On the same route, different sailings give different arrival windows.

  • Carrier schedules

Sailing frequency differs by carrier, and direct and transhipment routings connect differently.

  • Cut-off and gate closing

Times are set by the carrier for each sailing. Trucking and customs must finish before them.

  • Weather and port congestion

Typhoons, fog and congestion at destination change arrival and collection dates.

  • Destination inspection

Inspection, fumigation and document review add time at the destination port.

  • Transhipment connections

A change to the connecting vessel at the transhipment port moves the whole transit.

Cargo assessed separately

Dangerous goods and out-of-gauge heavy units sit outside the standard quotation and are assessed separately. Acceptance depends on the commodity, packing, carrier and port conditions, all confirmed before quoting.

Reference transit Reference transit times only. Subject to carrier schedules.
